Keith Davison, from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, was found guilty of the rape of a 24-year-old lady on Aug 4 1990 by a jury at Portsmouth Crown Court.

In 2004, softened systematic techniques enabled military to settle a DNA form from justification found at the stage and led to the cold box being re-opened.

Ann Smout, of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Crown Prosecution Service, pronounced "The DNA justification helped to set up a really clever box opposite Mr Davison.

Davison pleaded not guilty to rape in justice nonetheless he certified to once carrying extra-marital sex nearby a lake where the conflict happened.
He told Portsmouth Crown Court during his hearing "I have no reason for the DNA evidence."
